Q. How do I care for my art work?
A. For maximum protection, use "archival" or "museum" quality materials in matting, framing, backing and/or
glazing. "Acid Free" may be satisfactory for normal use and for modestly priced pieces such MNM Art Studio's
Standard Giclée Prints.
Second the surface of the work should be protected against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation and direct contact. Displaying under UV protected glazing (such as UV filtering glass or acrylic). Coating the surface of works to be displayed without glass or acrylic with several coats of a compatible
UV screen such as PrintShield™ is recommended.
Third, it is important to minimize the exposure to sunlight or areas that are illuminated
continuously.
Fourth, it is important to avoid "cleaning" the surface of the painting unless you are a trained professional.
Last, avoid exposing the work to temperature or humidity extremes or any chemicals including common household cleaners.
Q. What happens if my work is destroyed? How can I replace the work?
A. MNM Art Studio retains the electronic files used to produce all of its Limited Editions. Each piece is uniquely identified and we keep detailed records of our sales. We can "replace" the work (such as 2 of 45) at the then current price provided satisfactory evidence of loss of the original is provided. |
